Lessons learned from this summer
Last weekend local Denver NBC news called me and asked to do a follow up story on our family. They have been covering our story since the very beginning. They wanted to focus on lessons learned, especially for my kids. We had so much fun with the journalist, and my boys even showed her how to make lemonade!
A few lessons learned:
How to speak in front of a camera, how to be interviewed with print journalists, and even how to be on the radio! We all learned more about media in a few months than one could have ever imagined!
Community can make a huge difference. Without the community’s support, standing up and working to make a difference would have been much more difficult and discouraging.
Stand up for what is right in a positive manner. Create positive change, even if it takes you out of your comfort zone.
That’s it for now. Have a great week!
