Washington Post Magazine Article Features Lemonade Stand Mama

Wow, I’m honored to be included in the Washington Post Magazine article, “Why officials from Colorado to Texas are trying to protect lemonade stands” that is available online now and will be in print in the magazine on September 22, 2019. I’m honored of the work that I have done to not only change the lemonade stand laws in Denver, but to help pass a statewide bill, “Legalizing Minors’ Businesses,” enabling kids to not only have lemonade stands without permits but also to have any kind of entrepreneurship ventures on a part-time basis. After partnering with Kraft Heinz/CountryTime lemonade to help create a national campaign, I am proud that Texas, Tennessee have passed similar bills, and now Washington DC is going to pass a similar bill to Denver! A movement has begun, resulting in a win for kids across the country!
